Enjoy the most peculiar landscapes of the Algarve and learn about its history with this excursion to Sagres, Cape St. Vincent and Silves.

Sagres, Cape St. Vincent & Silves Trip

After picking you up from your hotel between 8:30 am and 9 am, we’ll embark on a fantastic route through some of the most picturesque areas of the Algarve.

First, we’ll stop in the town of Silves to see its imposing Arab castle, considered the best preserved in the country. Then we’ll head to the cathedral, a gothic temple that was built upon the site of an old mosque.

We’ll continue our journey through the Serra de Monchique, a mountain range with green slopes full of cork trees and eucalyptus groves. We’ll ascend to the highest point of the mountain range, Foiá, from which you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and, in the distance, the Atlantic Ocean.

Afterward, we’ll stop in the Portuguese parish of Marmelete to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. With our stomachs satiated, we’ll move on to the beautiful beaches of the Costa Vicentina, where we’ll make a stop to enjoy the breathtaking views and take pictures of its colossal cliffs!

Next stop? The historic Cape St. Vincent, a 75-meter promontory where a lighthouse and an old fort stand. This spot also marks the south-westernmost point of Europe! After visiting this iconic landmark, we’ll pass through the fishing village of Sagres, which also houses a large strategic fortress built in the 15th century. Finally, we’ll start our return journey to your hotel, where we’ll arrive at around 4 pm.
