Murudeshwara is a temple town in Bhatkala Taluk, North Canara district in Coastal arnataka. Located on the main Mangalore- Karwar Highway, And it is sandwiched between the picturesque Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. Its main attraction is a Shiva Temple with Chalukya and Kadamba sculptures built in the Dravidian style of architecture with an awesome Shiva statue and its pristine beach. The temple is located on a hillock which offers a magnificent view of the sea. The temple complex is famous for its tall Shiva statue which is around 37 m high and is the tallest Shiva statue in India. The temple gopura at 237 ft is the 2nd tallest in India. From across the beach, one can see the mammoth statue sparkling against the backdrop of a blue sky. There is also a huge statue of the Gitopadesha depicted in the lush garden here complete with a chariot. Later proceed to a picturesque rock right in the beautiful green forest called Yana Caves.

Yana Caves, located near Gokarna in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India, are famous for their unique black limestone rock formations, including the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara, and a cave temple with a self-manifested Shiva linga. The caves are known for their towering, black limestone rock formations, including the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and Mohini Shikhara. At the base of Bhairaveshwara Shikhara, there’s a cave temple housing a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shiva linga, believed to be formed naturally by stalactites and stalagmites. Yana Caves are associated with a Hindu mythological story about Bhasmasura, an evil demon, and Lord Shiva. The area around Yana Caves is lush with forests and offers trekking opportunities. A short trek from Yana leads to the mesmerizing Vibhooti falls, where water cascades. 

Later proceed to OM Beach in Gokarna. Om Beach is a major tourist attraction in the coastal city of Gokarna, located in North Canara district. One of the acclaimed beaches in the country, Om Beach takes the shape of an ‘Om’, a Hindu spiritual symbol. In the shape of two crescents joined together to form an Om, the beach offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. The long stretch of white sandy beach adjoining the rocky terrain appeals to travellers from around the world.

Or visit Kudle Beach. A chilled-out beach with loads of fun and trendy activities for all age groups. Kudle beach is a little laid-off beach that usually is deserted during the summers. As the temperature drops, i.e. From November to January the beach is fairly crowded with nomads relaxing and lazing around at the beach. The beach is popular with travellers who wish to stay in the town and come here to spend the day eating and chilling for the day. A charming and serene beach attracts nature lovers who easily get mesmerized by the various hues of the sky over the ocean. Breath-taking sunrise and sunset views are the major attractions.

Or Visit Gokarna beach. Of late the beach has gained popularity for being a surfing site. The not-so-clean beach is believed to give you a holy dip before you enter the Mahabaleshwara temple. If you walk a little away towards the River Gangavalli, the beach is pristine and less crowded. A heavenly paradise for adventure seekers and photography enthusiasts, Gokarna beach is popular for adventure activities like jet-skiing, snorkelling, surfing, banana boat ride, and trekking. Don’t forget to visit Mahabaleshvara Temple is one of the most visited and the biggest temple in town dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple dates back to the 4th century CE and is in the Dravidian style of architecture.
